Cold Lake Aeros Junior A Hockey Club Announces Dormancy for the 2024/25 Season

[Cold Lake, Alberta - July 23, 2024] - The Cold Lake Aeros Junior A Hockey Club regrets to announce that it will be dormant for the upcoming 2024/25 season. This decision comes as part of our commitment to bringing a higher calibre program to the City of Cold Lake.

While the Aeros will not be participating in regular season games during the 2024/25 season, we are pleased to inform our loyal fans and supporters that our Academy programs will still be in operation. Our U16 program, under the guidance of Head Coach Shawn Coles, will continue to provide young athletes with the opportunity to develop their skills and pursue their hockey dreamss

In addition, the Cold Lake Aeros will be organizing a series of skill-building and skating workshops throughout the season. These workshops will provide players of all ages and skill levels with the chance to enhance their abilities under the guidance of experienced coaches. The Aeros are pleased to announce a partnership with Brinson Pasinchuk to provide top-level instruction to Cold Lake players.

Furthermore, we are excited to announce that the Aeros Gear Store, inside the Imperial Oil Arena, will remain open throughout the season. Our store will offer skate sharpening services and a wide range of hockey accessories to meet the needs of our dedicated hockey community.

The Cold Lake Aeros Junior A Hockey Club would like to express our gratitude to the City of Cold Lake for their continued support. We are proud to collaborate with the city in offering advertising opportunities within the Imperial Oil Arena at the Cold Lake Energy Centre. These opportunities not only benefit the team but also provide valuable exposure for local businesses and organizations.

While we understand that the decision to go dormant for a season may come as a disappointment to some, we assure you that this move is part of our long-term strategy to enhance the hockey experience for players and fans alike. We are committed to returning in the 2025/26 season with an exciting and competitive Aeros team.

We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our fans, sponsors, and community members for their unwavering support. Your dedication and enthusiasm have been instrumental in our journey, and we look forward to your continued support as we work through this process.
