Cold Lake Aeros new Head Coach

The Cold Lake Aeros are pleased to announce the signing of their new Head Coach, Morten Kjobly from Odense, Denmark.

Morten has an extensive background in Player Development having been involved in the Hockey Development of the Silkeborg Icehockey Club in Silkeborg, Midtjylland, Danmark, and as the Head Coach/Head of Development for the Sollefteå Hockey Club. 

Previously Kjolby spent time with the HC Kunlun Red Star of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) as their Development Coach. 

"I grow up playing hockey youth and senior hockey in Denmark, where I also was lucky to represent Denmark on the different youth national team growing up." say Morten. " I got the opportunity to try coaching in my hometown and I fell in love with coaching and being able to help others develop and see them getting success in hockey or in life. This is my 12th  season as coach, where I have been around in the world coaching junior or senior in Denmark, Sweden, China, and Spain and I have helped advance a lot young players to get the opportunity to play pro hockey. I very excited to join the Aeros organization and we hope to challenge for the Champions Cup again this season"

Kjolby will be making his way to Canada and Cold Lake in mid July in preparation for the August Hockey Camp and the Aeros main camp in the latter half of August.
