**Cold Lake Aeros apply to the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC)**

**Cold Lake Aeros Junior A Hockey Club Seeks Admission to the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC)**

Cold Lake, AB – The Cold Lake Aeros Junior A Hockey Club is excited to announce its application to join the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC), a Tier 2 Junior A Hockey League dedicated to developing young hockey talent for collegiate and professional opportunities. The NCDC emphasizes player development, competitive play, and a commitment to advancing athletes' careers both on and off the ice.

By joining the NCDC, the Cold Lake Aeros aim to elevate Tier 2 Junior A Hockey in Cold Lake area, providing local athletes and those from around the world with the chance to compete at a higher level while gaining exposure to collegiate scouts. This move aligns with our vision of fostering a strong regional hockey community and developing future stars.

The National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) was founded in 2017 as the Tuition-Free Tier II conference of the United States Premier Hockey League, itself founded in 2012. The NCDC consists of 21 teams in three divisions - two on the Eastern Seaboard and one in the Rocky Mountain states of Colorado, Utah and Idaho.*

The NCDC has sent more than 260 alumni to the NCAA Division I ranks, and more than 1,000 overall into NCAA college hockey. There were also more than 250 alumni in pro hockey around the world during the 2023-24 season.

Former NCDC player Drew O'Connor has become a regular with the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins, and there have been seven players selected in the NHL Entry Draft from the NCDC.
