Aeros welcome Sean Symes to the team!

Aeros are pleased to announce the signing of defenceman, Sean Symes!

He may not be the biggest player on the team but this young man brings passion and emotion to the club. At 5’9" and 164lbs, Symes makes the utmost use out of his frame. 

He's a quick left side defenceman who loves to carry the puck up the ice. He battles hard in the corners and loves to start a good breakout. 

In Sean's own words: 

" On the bench and before games I like to keep a smile on my face because I’m a true believer that you play better when you’re having fun. Having a positive player on the bench can really change my team mates mindsets as well. I love pizza playing basketball and getting on my Xbox to relieve my stress."

During the pandemic, Sean was able to play a handful of games with the USPHL's San Diego Sabers. Coach Bricknell caught up to Sean during a scouting trip to Florida where Symes played in a hockey "bubble".  Prior to the Sabers, Symes played for the Rockland Nationals U18 AAA program.
