Ice Hockey Learning Workshop
**Duration:** 1 Day (6 hours) approx. (Date to be determined)
**Target Audience:** Adults learning the game of Ice Hockey
Schedule:
**9:00 AM - 9:30 AM: Registration and Welcome**
- Sign-in, name tags, and introductory session
- Overview of the day’s agenda
**9:30 AM - 10:30 AM: Introduction to Ice Hockey**
- History of Ice Hockey
- Overview of the rules and objectives of the game
- Explanation of positions and roles on the ice
**10:30 AM - 11:30 AM: Basic Skills Session**
- Skating fundamentals: stance, stopping, turning
- Stickhandling basics: holding the stick, basic puck control
- Passing techniques: forehand and backhand passes
**11:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Break**
- Refreshments and informal networking
**12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Shooting and Scoring Techniques**
- Types of shots: wrist shot, slap shot, backhand
- Tips for scoring in different game situations
**1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Lunch Break**
- Lunch provided
**2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Game Strategy and Tactics**
- Understanding offensive and defensive plays
- Breakdown of a typical game scenario
- Importance of teamwork and communication
**3:00 PM - 4:00 PM: On-Ice Practice Session** (optional)
- Participants will be required to supply their own helmets, gloves, and sticks at minimum (full equipment is recommended)
- Supervised practice focusing on skills learned earlier
**4:00 PM - 4:30 PM: Q&A Session**
- Open floor for questions about ice hockey
**4:30 PM - 5:00 PM: Wrap-Up and Feedback**
- Summary of the day
- Collect feedback from participants
- Information on local ice hockey leagues and clubs
