**Cold Lake Aeros Hockey Academy Association Partners with PX3 - AMP to Launch Accelerated Multi-sport Pathway in Cold Lake**
Cold Lake, Alberta – The Cold Lake Aeros Hockey Academy Association is excited to announce a partnership with Calgary's PX3 - AMP to introduce the Accelerated Multi-sport Pathway program to the Cold Lake community. This innovative initiative aims to integrate multi-sport activities into the hockey program, ensuring that youth sports remain focused on fun, fostering friendships, and cultivating a love for the game.
Running for 8 weeks throughout April and May, the program will include jerseys, socks, and a multi-sport training kit for each participant. Coaches will be hired and compensated, undergoing a rigorous training and certification program through AMP's Advisor Council. More information on this coaching program can be found at [AMP Coaches](https://www.amp.hockey/ampcoaches).
Developed by former professional and Canadian Olympian Brad Layzell, the program features many of the best of the best in their respective sports. Advisors such as Allan Markin (Order of Canada), Dr. Stephen Norris, Chris Sederstrand, Matt Stajan, Curtis Glencross, Brian McGratton, Jeff Schultz, Lascelles Brown, and Jessica Zelinka, just to name a few.
The Accelerated Multi-sport Pathway will feature set schedules, days, times, and location, with no mandatory fundraising or volunteering required. This program is designed for young athletes aged 4-12 and will be divided into five separate divisions, offering age and stage-appropriate training that emphasizes skills development, skating, and small area games.
In addition to the structured training, all coaches and parents will be required to register for an online education and certification program. This initiative includes online courses and monthly Parent Empowerment Program (PEP) talks, featuring interviews with professional athletes, trainers, and coaches.
Participants will have the flexibility to choose a program that fits their schedule, with options available for 1, 2, or 3 days per week.
