**Aeros Hockey Academy Association Seeks Community Feedback on Potential Female Junior A Hockey Program**
Cold Lake, AB
The Aeros Hockey Academy Association is excited to announce that it is exploring the possibility of launching a female Junior A hockey program within the Alberta Junior Female Hockey League (AJFHL) for the 2025/26 season. In a move aimed at promoting inclusivity and expanding opportunities for female athletes in the region, the Association is actively seeking feedback from the community to gauge interest and support for this initiative.
As the popularity of women's hockey continues to rise, the Aeros Hockey Academy recognizes the need for a dedicated Junior A program that can provide aspiring female athletes with the platform to develop their skills, compete at a high level, and potentially advance their hockey careers. This proposed program would not only enhance the competitive landscape for female hockey in Alberta but also foster a sense of community and support among players, coaches, and fans.
"We believe that a Junior A program for women would be a game-changer in our community," said
Axel Axmann, President of the Aeros Hockey Academy. "Our goal is to create an environment where young female athletes can thrive and pursue their passion for hockey. But to make this vision a reality, we need to hear from the public."
The Aeros Hockey Academy is encouraging parents, players, coaches, and hockey enthusiasts to share their thoughts, suggestions, and concerns regarding the potential program. Feedback will be collected through an online SURVEY, which can be accessed via the Academy's website, as well as at community events and local hockey games over the coming weeks.
"We want to ensure that this program meets the needs and expectations of our community," added Axmann. "Every voice matters, and your input will help shape the future of female hockey in Alberta."
The deadline for submitting feedback is January 31, 2025, after which the Aeros Hockey Academy will review the responses and determine the feasibility of launching the Junior A program. The Association is committed to transparency and will keep the community informed about the progress and next steps.
