The Cold Lake Aeros will once again be running the Spring 4 on 4 program. The program will run from April 17th to June 16th, 2023.
We had such a tremendous response to the program last year that we wanted to run it again for the 2023 season.
The Aeros 4 on 4 Hockey program provides players with an opportunity to stay on their skates during the Spring months April - June. The program will run for a total of 8 weeks. With fewer players on the ice, players are given more puck touches which ultimately increases their stick-handling and puck-control skills.
In conversation with Aeros Head Coach Morten Kjolby, we will be introducing a skill build with the program this year. If you would like to add an additional ice time per week to your player to participate in the skill session (skating, puck control) there will be an additional cost of $100.00 + GST for the entire 8 week program.
This program provides players with the opportunity to play with kids of all levels and abilities in an inviting and fun environment. We will try to place as many players together with similar abilities if possible. Players can request to play with up to four friends. We will also attempt to place two goalies per team.
This years programs will be Under 7, Under 9, Under 11 and Under 13. After discussion with a number of stakeholders, Under 7 will be 1/3 ice, Under 9 will be 1/2 ice, Under 11 and 13 will be full ice. With this process, players will be given more puck touches which will help with their development.
We are also looking at adding some dedicated paid coaches to assist with the program this year. Coaches will be required to participate in the skills session in an effort to help in their development and to work with the players to help with their skating and puck control. There will be no cost to the coaches to participate in the skills session.
This year we will also be looking for young officials to help with the games. These young people will officiate in a fun and inviting atmosphere while building their confidence and skills to effectively referee games. Referees will be paid per game.

Players will receive an Aeros 4 on 4 jersey, socks and Aeros ball cap. Price is $295.00 plus GST ($309.75) for players, $150.00 plus GST ($157.50) for goalies.
With the added skills session, the total cost will be $395.00 plus GST ($414.75) for players only. We will not be offering a skill session for dedicated goalies (our apologies).
There is a $100.00 non-refundable deposit required upon registration. This deposit will only be refunded should the program be canceled by the Aeros organization or by the City of Cold Lake Energy Centre. Please direct all deposits and payments to admin@aeroshockey.ca.
